The song is set in outer space, 2001-style; of an astronaut on a mission to observe and report... all the while getting emotionally abandoned by the people he is counting on to get him through. Recorded live and overdubbed almost everything except the exquisite guitar work by Tim Hager that is only one guitar, no overdubs. It's his finest work.
